Pumpkin Spice Latte

Today marks the first day of fall, and what better way to kick it off than with a pumpkin spice latte. PSLs get a lot of hate, but there is a reason why this fall drink has become a classic - it’s delicious. This recipe comes together in minutes and can easily be scaled up to serve more. I recommend going all out and making my Pumpkin Scones to go with it. There’s no better way to get in the fall spirit. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Makes 1 latte

1 cup whole milk (or sub with dairy free alternative; I used oat milk)

2 Tablespoons pumpkin puree

1 Tablespoon sugar*

¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 shot espresso (or ¼ cup strongly brewed coffee)

For Serving (Optional)

Whipped cream

Pumpkin Pie Spice

Add the milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Whisk vigorously until smooth. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and espresso.

Pour the latte into a mug. Serve as is, or top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

*If you prefer a sweeter latte, you can add additional sugar to taste.
